The annual benefit continues more than five decades of commitment that began in 1971 when Lou Malnati first organized a benefit to honor his friend who battled cancer. What started as a small gathering has grown into one of Chicago’s longest-running charitable events, raising $4 million in the last five years alone for the Lou and Jean Malnati Brain Tumor Institute at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Gilda’s Club of Chicago, and Pickles Group.

Ways to Support:
Dessert to Donate Campaign (August 29 – September 30): Lou Malnati’s will donate $1 from every dessert purchased to Lou Malnati’s Cancer Research Foundation.

In-Store Donations: Guests can purchase Donation Circles at all Lou Malnati’s locations throughout September or round up their bill to the nearest dollar when checking out.

Annual Benefit Event: The 53rd Annual Lou Malnati’s Cancer Research Benefit will take place on Saturday, September 27, at The Matrix Club in Naperville. Younglove-Webb joins the legendary deep-dish pizzeria from Auntie Anne’s, a GoTo Foods brand, where she most recently served as senior vice president and chief brand officer. Her industry background includes senior leadership roles at Domino’s Pizza and Potbelly Corporation, where she oversaw corporate and restaurant operations, respectively.

Throughout her career, she has developed strategies that increased revenue, profits and employee retention across multiple brands, with expertise spanning operations and retail brand development.

Younglove-Webb’s connection to Lou Malnati’s runs deeper than her professional background. As a former Chicago-area resident and longtime customer, she brings personal appreciation for the brand’s place in the city’s culinary landscape.

I was a part of the PHC crew and he was a busser. We made it official in “booth 70” and it’s been history ever since. We even had our engagement photos taken at the downtown Naperville restaurant and our rehearsal dinner at Oakbrook Terrace. So many blessings have come out of us meeting at Lou’s. From creating lifelong friendships, growing both personally and professionally, but the most beautiful blessing of all is our 1-year-old son. We are just one of many LOU’ve stories to share!”

We started dating about a week or so after that and were married not even a year later. Now it’s been 18 years that we have been together! It’s been the best time of our lives! We have two boys Emilio, 16, and Ben 14, and we expect them to work at Lou’s someday too!”

PHOENIX, AZ — (May 23, 2024) – Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria, based in Chicago, IL, announced that it will officially make Surprise, AZ home to its ninth location in the Phoenix metro area.  The famous deep dish pizzeria is slated to open its newest location in Fall 2024, currently under construction, at 13382 N Prasada Parkway in Surprise, AZ.  The new space is coming soon to the Village at Prasada in a free-standing building with patio in an established retail and restaurant area, adjacent to other local favorites, at the southwest corner of W Waddell Rd and N Prasada Parkway.  It’s conveniently located near Loop 303 and Waddell Road in the West Valley.

Lou Malnati’s opened its first restaurant in Phoenix in 2016, followed by locations in Arcadia, Scottsdale, Glendale, Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler and most recently in Tempe in December 2022.  The 6,100 square foot space will be a full-service restaurant and bar offering dine-in, carryout, delivery, curbside pick-up and drop off catering services for hungry fans in the Surprise area.  The delicious menu is highlighted by the legendary deep dish pizza and offers tasty thin crust along with signature appetizers, salads, pastas and desserts.  The new restaurant will offer a real deep dish dining experience and include a dining room, full-service bar, outdoor patio and more.  Featuring a contemporary design, it will seat approximately 220 guests for indoor dining with room for about 75 additional guests for outdoor dining.

The Malnati family has become famous for their original deep dish pizza recipe, top-notch quality, and hospitality since opening in 1971.  The company is still owned and operated by second generation family members as Lou Malnati’s son, Marc Malnati, proudly carries on the family tradition and honors their legacy.  Celebrating over 50 years in business, Lou Malnati’s currently operates 80 locations in Chicago, Indianapolis, Milwaukee, and Phoenix.

In recognition of Teacher Appreciation Week, students, parents and administrators are encouraged to nominate local teachers online to acknowledge their hard work and dedication to the classroom.

Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria is planning to celebrate teachers across Chicagoland during Teacher Appreciation Week and they need the community’s help nominating dedicated educators making an impact on students’ lives. From April 22 – May 3, 2024, students, parents and fellow administrators across the greater Chicagoland area are encouraged to nominate their favorite K-12 teacher.

Over 80 local teachers will be celebrated in Chicago, Indianapolis, Milwaukee and Phoenix.  There will be 10 local teachers selected to win “Free Pizza for a Year” from Lou Malnati’s in the form of one free medium cheese pizza per week for 52 weeks and a $250 pizza party package for their school.  Additionally, 70 honorable mentions will be chosen to win a $100 Lou Malnati’s gift card during Teacher Appreciation Week (May 6 – 10, 2024).

Individuals can use an online form to nominate teachers from public or private schools throughout Chicago and surrounding communities, writing in 100 words or less why their favorite educator deserves to be recognized.  Entries will be judged on the criteria of originality and clear reasoning for nomination. Prizes include:

Grand Prize Teacher (10 winners total across Chicago, Indianapolis, Milwaukee and Phoenix)

• “Free Pizza for a Year” (One free medium cheese pizza per week for 52 weeks)
